Properties for Windows Home Server Computers

Configures Windows Home Server Computers (Clients)

Use the property dialog to configure additional settings for Windows Home Server Computer (Clients):

Server

You can monitor this computer for activity. When monitoring is selected, you can't disable the visualization in the uptime diagram.

Otherwise you can display the runtime of this computer in the diagram.

Wake-On-Lan

You can wake-up your computer at a specified time using wake-on-lan.

Backup

When you have wake-up enabled, you can run a backup 2 minutes later. When this option is enabled, the WHS Connector does not run a backup on this day. Only available in licensed version.

Lights-Out Client settings

These settings are executed by the client software and are only available in the licensed version.

After backup

You can specify a client action after backup to suspend or shutdown the client.

Client context menu

You can enable the context menu on the interactive Client to suspend the server. You can enable this on a per computer basis and disable this option for example on the kids PC.

You can enable automatic wake-up of the server when the client resumes or boots up. This has been the default setting for the previous version. When you disable that function you can still wake-up the server using the interactive client.

Community edition

Most options are not available in the community edition (marked with a turquoise background)
