Operation of Lights-Out

You use the Windows Home Server Console to work with LightsOut. 

Monitoring and execution of actions is done independent of the console by a background service.

Lights-Out displays many different information in 4 main windows. Select the tab "Lights-Out" in the Windows Home Server console.

Navigate the tabs inside of Lights-Out:

Buttons

The calendar and computer tab uses some additional buttons found in the Windows Home Server button area: 

 

 

Name 
Description 
The status pages shows a summary of all important information and settings. 
Use the calendar to create entries which keep the server running, put the server into sleep or wake the server up. 
Recorded uptimes are visualized in the uptime chart. 
Shows the connected Windows Home Server computers (clients) and all IP based network devices running in your home network. 
Buy and activate a license. 
Display information about LightsOut. 
The settings for LightsOut are arranged in 3 sections:

  • Client computer monitoring
  • Options
  • Uptime chart
