You use the Windows Home Server Console to work with LightsOut.
Monitoring and execution of actions is done independent of the console by a background service.
Lights-Out displays many different information in 4 main windows. Select the tab "Lights-Out" in the Windows Home Server console.

The calendar and computer tab uses some additional buttons found in the Windows Home Server button area:
